CYCLING RESOURCES
The objective of Cycling Resources is to set up a simple index to the data on the web and
other sources on cycling. It is not intended to provide a comprehensive list of all sources on cycling but to include
only those that are of interest and are relevant to those with a general interest in cycling.
The scope of the information on cycling is restricted to the bicycle as a means of transportation and includes mountain biking and cycle touring. It does not cover track cycling.
There is evidence to suggest that there are changes happening to our environment that will
require changes to be made to the way we live. It is likely that the bicycle will
play an important role in these changes.
H G Wales said "Every time I see an adult on a bicycle,
I no longer despair for the future of the human race". He also suggested that
"Cycle tracks will abound in Utopia" A true visionary!
With the rising price of petrol this might be sooner than later!

Science Guy.
Bicycles are already in some countries playing an important role in getting people around particularly for short journeys and examples
of networks of bikeways will be identified to illustrate this trend. In addition the bicycle can also play an important role in promoting health and fitness. Cycling is an efficient way for people of all ages to be fit and healthy.
The aim of this website is to provide links to information on cycling including the organisations and Government agencies that have been set up to promote the use of bicycles.
There are also travelogues from those who have travelled vast distances by bike.
